A mostly easy-to-walk stage on fine forest paths that eventually lead you to the former mill town Jonsered.

From Kåsjön, the Gotaleden runs parallel to the Wilderness Trail in a northeasterly direction to Lake Madern. Here is a small windbreak that is suitable for both breaks and overnight stays. Vildmarksleden and Gotaleden are divided in the same place. The Gotaleden soon passes a beautiful pond in the forest, with a small rest area, and then continues through the forest, crosses the E20 and continues to Jonsered.

Jonsered was a manor that from the 1830s developed into a mill and a number of brick buildings along the Säveån river still remain. The National Heritage Board has appointed Jonsered as a cultural environment of national interest, which means that the environment is considered one of the country's cultural treasures.

Around the corner from Jonsered's factories you will find the microbrewery Poppels which offers food and display of the brewery.
